Beat the Clock ⏱️
Quick braid builds. Real-time pressure. Clean slays. This series runs alongside You Send It… I Fix It and brings the speed side of the brand to life.
A 12-week live series where I take real braid struggles sent in by my community and show how I would fix, clean up, or upgrade them in real time. Each week focuses on a different braid problem, but you only need one simple submission to be considered. If your braid is selected and featured live, you’ll also receive an official Gabby101 hoodie.
Already receiving submissions from braiders across the country 👀
Keep it simple. Send one braid photo, tell me what went wrong, and I’ll review it against the full 12-week roadmap. If your submission fits an upcoming theme and gets selected, I may feature it live and show exactly how I would fix it. You do not need to submit separately for every week.
Email your photo directly and tell me what you struggled with. One submission can fit multiple themes.
I’ll place your submission where it fits best across the 12-week series based on the issue, challenge, or upgrade potential.
If selected, your submission may be featured in the live series while I break down the fix in real time, and featured submissions receive an official Gabby101 hoodie.
If your braid submission is selected and featured in the You Send It… I Fix It live series, you’ll receive an official Gabby101 hoodie.
This is not a random giveaway. Hoodies are reserved for braid submissions officially selected and featured live in the series.
Want to watch me build styles under pressure in real time too? The Beat the Clock series is the companion live show where I race to complete quick braid styles before time runs out.

When the foundation is off, the whole style feels off. This week focuses on cleaner bases and more balanced braid structure.
Styles that look good for ten minutes and then fall apart need stronger grip, better control, and more lasting structure.
Clean does not need to hurt. This week is about reducing pain while keeping the style neat and secure.
If the braid lays flat with no presence, the issue is usually in the shaping and expansion. This week focuses on fullness.
Awkward starts can ruin a style before it even gets going. This week focuses on smoother transitions and cleaner build-up.
The pattern may be right, but the finish still looks rough. This week is all about refining the final look.
If one side is heavier, wider, or looser than the other, the style loses balance fast. This week tackles symmetry.
Sometimes the braid itself is decent, but the design underneath feels disconnected. This week focuses on better flow.
A braid can be neat and still not hit right. This week is about placement, proportion, and making the style flatter the face.
If the style starts dropping too fast, the structure underneath is weak. This week focuses on support and lift.
Sports, school, movement, and sleep expose weak structure quickly. This week focuses on kid-proof styles that last longer.
The biggest challenge and biggest payoff. This finale brings the whole series together with one major transformation.
